what is ARMED PVC?
The reinforced PVC membrane is part, like the liner, of the coatings for pools independent of the support, that is to say of the very structure of the pool. It consists of a high resistance woven polyester weft caught between two layers of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) heat welded.
Its characteristics and its average thickness of 1.5 mm (150/100th) make it a waterproof and very resistant pool coating. Its lifespan is 15 to 25 years depending on the treatment inflicted.
It comes in the form of a 25 m roll of strips to be welded directly to the bottom and walls of the pool.
The reinforced PVC membrane can receive different treatments:
Anti-UV treatment to limit discoloration due to the sun.
Fungicidal and antibacterial treatment to prevent the proliferation of algae and micro-organisms.
Non- slip treatment to secure stairs and submerged beaches.
